 | The 2012 Alabama State HOG rally promises to be one of the most exciting Alabama HOG rallies in years. The rally starts bright and early Thursday May 17th with a morning ride departing at 10:15 am. Check back soon for destination. We will have plenty of guided and self-guided rides daily. Rides will depart from both Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson and Riders Harley-Davidson. We’ll even have guided rides between the two dealerships. Thursday May 17th we'll have our Kick-off Party at Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson in Pelham, Al with food and great entertainment. The dealership will have extended hours for HOG members. Friday May 18th the party moves to Riders Harley-Davidson in Trussville, Al, 26 miles NE. Entertainment will be provided including a concert by nationally known rowdy country band Confederate Railroad. (details) The dealership will have extended hours for HOG members
Friday and Saturday we’ll lead lunch time rides to the Whistle Stop Café (now Irondale Café) featuring fried green tomatoes. The café was made famous by the book Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café by Fannie Flagg which later was adapted for screen in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
Saturday night we’ll have yet another party at Riders Harley-Davidson in Trussville, Al featuring a local blues band.
